What is Compartment
Compartments are used to organize OCI resources logically in a container.
By default, a Root Compartment is created for each tenancy with the same name as the tenancy name.
Compartments are tenancy-wide, across regions. When you create a compartment, it is available in every region that your tenancy is subscribed to.
