Roles required to customize SaaS pages using Oracle Visual Builder Studio

When working with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio), having the right set of permissions is crucial. If you don’t have the correct access, you won’t be able to customize existing pages or make necessary modifications. Therefore, ensuring the appropriate permissions in IDCS (Identity Cloud Service) is the first step before performing any customizations.

VB Studio Roles in IDCS

When VB Studio is provisioned within an IDCS (Identity Cloud Service) domain, two primary roles are assigned:

  1. Developer Administrator :

    • Users with this role have full administrative control over VB Studio.

    • They can customize pages, manage settings, and perform all administrative tasks.

  2. Developer User :

    • Users with this role have restricted privileges.

    • They can perform development tasks but have limited access to administrative functions.
